Project Office of Integrated Development at Gates Foundation

Tell Me More: Gates is facilitating groundbreaking and impactful research. I work as a liaison between the foundation and teams working on serious diseases.

Why Social Entrepreneurship? I’m really driven to know how and why science gets done, and what to do with it once it is. My position allows me to see the full view of an entire scientific area, from research to application. Through the foundation, we take the best of science and help the funding reach those projects and move them forward. Through privatized funding, we’re able to form impact strategies. We also spearheaded an open access science initiative. New grants must include open and equitable data sharing. Ultimately, we want people to take the challenge to broaden the visions of success beyond what is financially profitable.

Why I March For Science: I wanted to be a scientist since I was five. Science is the natural expression of our innate human curiosity of how the world works. Science is ultimately the truth that we hang out hats on.
